You probably know Greg Proops from Whose Line Is It Anyway the successful show based on improvised comedy.

The top rating show had a huge run in the UK before having another huge run in America. Greg’s been there the whole time.

“It’s like being married to a bunch of men that you live in a bus with, if you can fathom that,” says Proops.

When he’s not doing Whose Line Is It Anyway, he’s doings stand-up.

“I don’t think there is another job for me,” he explains. “I would have been a petty criminal.. And in a way that is what comedy is like – you go from town to town and leave in the dead of night.”

That’s exactly what Proops is doing here. He’s done Hamilton, now it’s Hastings, Wellington, and Auckland.

As to how he deals with hecklers, well: “I threatened to kill a guy with a mic stand once. He came up to the stage, I grabbed the mic in a left handed stance and said, ‘don’t even dare!’

“He sat down with his friends and had no intention of coming for me.”

You can’t say you haven’t been warned.
